Toucan – Good Luck Minis
Toucans are tropical birds with extremely large bills that are often brightly colored. These highly social birds live in groups that can number over 20 individuals. Their unique appearance has made them a popular choice as a mascot for many brands.
- History: With their colorful bills and tropical habitats, toucans are often associated with parrots. However, they’re actually more closely related to woodpeckers. These birds live in Central and South America and eat a diet that consists mostly of fruit.
- Scientific Name: Family Ramphastidae, most notably the “typical toucans” in genus Ramphastos
- Characteristics: These tiny figurines pack a lot of detail, and are each hand-painted and intricately sculpted. Even as tiny as they are, their giant bill makes them easily recognizable as a toucan.
- Size: These toucans are about 1 1/8 inches long.
